Job Description

  • Expertise in installing, configuring and managing Linux/Solaris Server Environment On-Premise as well as on Cloud.
  • Role involves server-side operations and troubleshooting tasks that support business-critical and development activities.
  • Should have hands-on experience of working on multiple Linux flavours like RHEL, Ubuntu, Oracle Linux & Solaris flavours
  • Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments. Good exposure of Live Process Monitoring of large-scale production setups.
  • Experience with working on Oracle Linux Virtualization Environment.
  • Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service.
  • Understanding of licensing structures for Red Hat / Oracle Linux will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Performance tuning, optimization and Troubleshooting. Needs Extensive troubleshooting experience in a Linux environment.
  • Periodic OS patching of Linux / Solaris Servers.
  • Analyse Security Scans, experience in reviewing security findings, researching solutions, and applying configuration or architecture changes to remediate or mitigate the findings / vulnerabilities.
  • Provide file and system security management, log analysis, etc.
  • Knowledge of shell scripting and Storage technologies will be preferred.
  • Server virtualization, clustering and High availability experience.
  • Server migration experience.
  • Basic knowledge of networking.
  • Knowledge of Cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP) will be an added advantage.
  • Hands on experience on DR & Replications solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and Vendor management Skills, good verbal and written communication.
  • Experience on Hyper-Converged and Cloud infra experience will be preferred.
  • Ability to do multi- task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of ITIL Framework.

Qualifications

  • BSc.IT, BCA, B.E.
  • Certificate in Linux Administration will be an advantage.
