Job Description
- Hands on administration of all Azure services with a focus on – though not exclusively – compute, networking, identity, and database Azure services; to include tiers 2 and 3 end user support as needed
- Hands on administration of Windows virtual environment within Azure to include management of GPOs, troubleshooting and resolving OS level issues; to include tiers 2 and 3 end user support as needed Routine auditing, and proactive assessment of, the Azure environment in order to continuously, and systematically, identify opportunities for improvement, service enhancement, and cost optimization for the business
- Continual assessment and management of risk within the Azure environment to include ongoing and continuous deployment of Azure Security Center (ASC) capabilities and remediation of identified ASC vulnerabilities and risks
- Az- 303, 304 or Az 300-301 Certification
- Driving the organization’s overall backup and disaster recovery capabilities in the cloud; ensuring cloud backups, redundancy, and high availability of all resources is optimized and maintained in order to minimize downtime and maximize recoverability Windows Server and SQL database creation, configuration, upgrade, migration and patching
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving Azure environment performance issues, connectivity issues, security issues, etc
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot Azure server and SQL database related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resources
- Strong understanding and background of working with a complex Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP and the requirement of strictly following standards, procedures, and processes Knowledge of Network and TCP/IP routing/subnetting Knowledge of modern Windows operating systems Excellent PowerShell skills
- Experience with Azure AD, Active Directory including managing/maintaining GPOs
