We are searching for a skilled Cost Account with great communication, organizational, and analytical skills. A Cost Accountant is expected to do a cost analysis and prepare cost budgets. You must have problem-solving skills and are expected to work under pressure, along with submitting the work on given deadlines.
To become a successful Cost Accountant, you must be confident and detail-oriented with a keen interest in office operations to create a cost-effective budget for the organization.
Cost Accountant Responsibilities
- Create and maintain the cost accounting system, organization's record, and documents
- Analyze costs and savings
- Act in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for creating financial statements
- Keep records of internal audit
- Evaluate the collected data and keep a record of the results
- Evaluate the changes in products and services offered to understand what impact it has on the cost
- Look after physical inventories and evaluate the cycle count program
- Provide management with complete reports that show prices, revenue, and profits of the product and services
- Create estimated cost of new and already existing products
Cost Accountants Requirements
- Any applicant who has a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field can apply
- A Certified public accountant (CPA) license is required
- A proven experience of 2 years of working as a Cost Accountant
