Diesel Engineer

We are searching for physically fit and skilled candidates with experience in the position of Diesel Mechanic. A diesel mechanic is responsible for diagnosing tests on diesel vehicles to find faults, evaluating test results, and repairing and replacing engines. To become a successful Diesel Mechanic, you must communicate effectively and maintain an in-depth record of service vehicles daily.

Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities

• Conducting diagnostic tests on vehicles and managing required repairs
• Analyse the conducted test results to determine its services
• Test drive the vehicle to measure its performance
• Checking vehicle lighting systems and keeping them tidy
• Do preventive maintenance on service vehicles like trucks
• Maintain daily record of serviced vehicles
• Maintain inventory parts
• Keep the shop clean and inspect the procedure

Diesel Mechanic Requirements

• Candidates with a degree in automotive or mechanical engineering can apply for this job
• ASE Diese certification is preferred
• Relevant experience of working as a Diesel Mechanic
• Must have an authorised driver’s license
• Understanding of diesel engine components
• Excellent IT and diagnostic skills
