Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Software Writer / Documentation Expert with a minimum of 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation for software applications and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, write, and maintain technical documentation including user manuals, system guides, API documentation, and SOPs.
Collaborate with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to gather technical information.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with project requirements.
Review and edit content for clarity, grammar, and consistency.
Maintain document version control and documentation standards.
Assist in preparing training materials, presentations, and knowledge base articles.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in technical writing or software documentation.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in documentation tools such as MS Word, Confluence, Markdown, or similar tools.
Ability to understand technical concepts, APIs, and system workflows.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Experience in government or large-scale IT projects will be an added advantage.
