Job Description
We are hiring a skilled System Administrator with expertise in Internet Information Services (IIS) for a contractual position at NIC Kolkata. This role requires a hands-on professional to manage and optimize web server environments in a high-impact government department.
Technical Requirements:
IIS Expertise: 5+ years of experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Internet Information Services (IIS).
Server Management: Proficiency in managing Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
Web Hosting: Solid understanding of hosting .NET applications, SSL certificate management, and application pool optimization.
Security: Experience implementing security best practices, including firewalls, access controls, and regular security patching.
Automation: Basic knowledge of scripting (PowerShell) for automating routine administrative tasks.
Backup and Recovery: Proven ability to manage data backups and execute disaster recovery protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and optimize web servers and application hosting environments.
Monitor system performance and proactively address connectivity or performance issues.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless application deployment.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations and changes.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot outages to minimize service disruptions.
